Step aboard Energy and you immediately feel the difference between transportation and transformation. Delivered in 2022 by Dutch shipyard Amels and conceived in collaboration with naval architect Espen Øino, interior visionary François Zuretti, and a highly experienced Owner, this 77.8-meter yacht is not only the newest Amels of her size available today, but also a rare example of custom craftsmanship designed without compromise. With her steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and Lloyd’s classification, Energy is as robust as she is radiant—ready to circle the globe while carrying her guests in unrivalled luxury.
From the first glance, Øino’s exterior reveals its purpose: a vessel that blurs the line between sea and sky. Expansive outdoor areas abound, beginning with the top deck where a helipad doubles as an entertainment lounge. By day, it is a practical “touch and go” landing space for arrivals; by night, it transforms into a panoramic terrace with a statement bar and wraparound views of the horizon. Aft, guests are drawn to the jacuzzi and sun pads, while walkaround side decks lead to private balconies that hover over the water. And then there is the aft pool—enormous, inviting, and framed by loungers, it offers a stage for both basking and social celebration.
Inside, Zuretti Interior Designers have composed a sanctuary of refined calm with just the right touch of theatre. The dedicated Owner’s deck is nothing short of a private palace. Here, a suite flows through a private entrance and lobby to an expansive salon, bathroom, and dressing room. Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto a foredeck with its own jacuzzi, lounge, and even a marble firepit, creating a stage for solitude or late-night gatherings. Aft, a dining and lounge terrace becomes a canvas for summer evenings under the stars.
The bridge deck radiates elegance with its music lounge anchored by a Steinway baby grand piano, a marble topped bar, and an open-air lounge aft. On the main deck, life expands to include a boardroom style office for business at sea, a martial arts room for discipline and wellness, and a dining room for eighteen guests where formal dinners unfold with ocean views.
Accommodation for fourteen is spread across seven resplendent staterooms, including two VIP suites with sliding glass walls that open onto private balconies, transforming mornings into cinematic moments. Four additional guest suites are located on the lower deck, along with a beauty salon and a world class beach club. Here, wellness takes center stage with a spa, gym, sauna, and hammam, all linked to fold out terraces that bring the sea almost into the room. It is an environment designed to connect guests to the ocean in ways few yachts ever achieve.
Energy’s engineering is as impressive as her design. Twin MTU engines deliver 2,240 kW each, giving her a top speed of 17 knots and a transoceanic range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising pace of 13 knots. With an elevator serving every guest deck and a gross tonnage of 2,884, she carries both scale and grace with ease.
