THE FOUNDATIONS OF HEALTHY LIVING
Recent studies have shown that good health begins at home—and around the world living environments are being combined with cutting-edge medical and wellness amenities to promote healthy living.
MANDI KEIGHRAN
Luxury residences and hotels have long attracted discerning clientele with on-site features, such as spas, gyms, and pools. A new breed of luxury living, however, takes health and wellness to the next level— think an on-site medical center that fuses AI-powered health monitoring with Eastern healing practices, “concierge doctors”, and luxury apartments with personal gyms, UV-sterilization, and hospital-grade air filtration systems. In the current COVID era, it’s no surprise that luxury living, and health go hand-in-hand. A recent study by the World Health Organization revealed that an astonishing 80-90 percent of our health is linked to where and how we live. Or, to put it another way, the buildings that we occupy, whether at home or travelling, have lasting consequences for body and mind. This kind of understanding about the impact of our built environment on our personal wellbeing is more important than ever before—and, as a result, the future of wellness has arrived.
