From its debut in 1934 until its 2009 closing, The Rainbow Room enjoyed a long reign as one of New York’s most recognizable culinary landmarks.  Offering stunning views, elegant décor and a glamorous setting, The Rainbow Room was an unequivocal star.  One of the most coveted venues from which to ring in the New Year, celebrate a special occasion or pop the big question, The Rainbow Room was a mainstay of Manhattan social circles for 75 glittering years until sadly being forced to close its posh doors.

Despite the fateful 2009 ending, there is apparently gold at the end of this particular rainbow.

On October 1st, The Rainbow Room returned to its tony perch high above Rockefeller Center to reopen its iconic doors and host a grand reopening that left little doubt to the fact that they are, indeed, back.

The return of The Rainbow Room introduces new additions including live music on the first Monday of each month, Sunday brunches and a new cocktail lounge, Sixty Five; all set against the restaurant’s inimitable views of the city.

“The Rainbow Room space has occupied the collective imagination and memories of generations of Americans and New Yorkers,” said Keith Douglas, Managing Director, Rockefeller Center. “We are pleased to reopen it, and we are committed to operating a Rainbow Room that will offer top levels of dining service and catering for today’s visitors while preserving the elegance for which it is so well known.”
